As of today, Thursday, March 7, we have experienced five school cancellations, due to inclement weather in Western Dubuque Schools. As indicated on the school calendar for 2023-2024, make-up days will occur on Wednesday, March 27th and Tuesday, April 2nd. Please see the details of these days in the bulleted list below.
- Wednesday, March 27 - this will now be a school day and we will dismiss students 1 hour early as we typically do on Wednesdays. Professional learning and PLC+ will take place as usual for teaching staff on Wednesdays.
- Thursday, March 28 - No School (Protected Spring Break/Teacher Comp Day)
- Friday, March 29 - No School (Spring Break)
- Monday, April 1 - No School (Spring Break)
- Tuesday, April 2 - this will now be a school day.
In the next six weeks, we will have a better idea of the number of school cancellations and a definitive last day of school will be communicated to you. This decision and communication will occur around mid-April to ensure we are officially out of the winter/school cancellation season. Please feel free to connect with me if you have any questions or concerns about this information.
